Michigan Talent Bank upgrade

Here is a little bit of good news for anyone using the Michigan Talent Bank and literally hoping that they fish out a job with this program.  The website has been overhauled to spit out a much cleaner looking resume for anyone that utilizes it; read anyone collecting unemployment.

More ambitious unemployed people have always had a much cleaner formatted resume that they typically hand out to recruiters in person.  This new system now allows people who are a little bit lost with the resume experience to begin with a pretty decent set of options to work with.

It allows for a chronological resume, experience based, or a mixture of both.  The site has also enhanced the ability to create a PDF printout for users to email easily to potential employers.

I guess it is a start for the unemployed to get nicer resumes to pass out.  Currently the statistics on the Michigan Talent Bank are this:

Current jobs posted 23,945 available resumes 996,601

Now if the state can figure out to make the odds of getting a job better than winning a scratch off lotto ticket, we’ll be onto something.
