Michigan Changes Unemployment Law Again

For the second time in a month the State of Michigan has changed the way it will pay out unemployment.  Starting in January workers will have a harder time collecting unemployment if they have been fired, or are injured on the job.

Starting in January newly unemployed workers will only have 20 weeks of unemployment down from 26.  Some workers may have as few at 10 weeks.  In the coming weeks we’ll go through and update our MARVIN frequently asked questions for you.
