Ford announced today that 1,700 factory workers of the 41,000 that were offered buyout packages have taken early buyout packages. As a result it will hire up to 250 laid off workers, most of those workers will be hired into jobs that earn about $16 an hour.
Packages ranged from $50 to 100,000 depending on skill set.
