Florida getting hit by unemployment text message phishing scams

Citizens of Florida are reminded that the official Florida unemployment system will not ever communicate with you with a text message.

So any unprompted message you may receive regarding unemployment in a text message is a scam.

This is a growing trend as seen in California, and other states where your phone number information may be more published on certain resume and job search platforms.
