Funny: Fashion Has A Price
How materialistic can you possibly be? What is our world coming to? The other day it was raining pretty heavy and more or less flooded the gas station lot even around the pumps due to the strong wind. I was looking out the window because it’s always funny to see how people get out of their cars during a storm. The following is a new level of stupid…
(I look out the window and watch this nicely dressed woman open up the door to her SUV and remove her stiletto heels then jog over to the front door of the gas station bare foot).
Woman: (Panting) I need $40 on pump five.
Me: Why did you remove your shoes? It is not very safe to walk through the parking lot bare foot.
Woman: You are right it is probably not safe to walk bare foot but I had to.
Me: Why did you have to? You could get glass shards or any number of things in your foot.
Woman: Well I can always remove glass from my foot but there is no way, absolutely no way I’m going to get my Louis Vuitton stilettos wet.
Me: So you’re more concerned about your shoes than your safety.
Woman: Fashion has a price. (Walks outside and pumps gas bare foot).
I watched as she got back into her SUV and wiped her feet off with a towel then put her stilettos back on. She must do this often if she just happens to have a towel next to the driver’s seat to dry off her feet.
