Michigan Cash For Cookies Law
It turns out in Michigan it has recently become legal thanks to the The Cottage Food Law to sell some of your home baked goods for extra cash.
There are some stipulations like proper labeling of ingredients, and where it was cooked like this example:
It turns out that you can’t make a lot of foods. Pretty much anything that can be classified as a liquid or gel, or contains meat, cheese, or vegetables.
It’s only a matter of time before we find out that Cottage goods bakers will be investigated for Bridge Card fraud buying up bulk flour, eggs, butter, etc and selling finished baked goods at a profit.
