Employees Vs. Facebook
By now there are probably hundreds of examples of people sabotaging their careers though social media. Often time people are getting fired, suspended, or losing out on job opportunities over random musings. But true sabotage comes from outright hateful comments or participation in illegal acts. It should be obvious by now that just because you are online doesn’t mean your actions or statements are going to go unnoticed. Just as it is not a wise choice to tell your boss how you feel about them when you’re angry. It is not much better to say stuff about your boss on Facebook. Unless the US government creates legislation similar to this German law you may want to be careful about your online antics.
