The Detroit Symphony Orchestra May Go Back to Work

The members of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra may go back to work without a contract.  The DSO management released the following statement on their website:

“We are delighted that the musicians are prepared to return to work. Although the terms remain unclear, after this unanticipated announcement, we immediately communicated with the Union attorney to understand the specific intentions of their announcement of an “unconditional” return. We have offered some suggestions of our own on how we might proceed together and are looking forward to their response.”
