MI Extended Benefits Technical Fix Contains Poison Pill

Yesterday the Senate passed a bill to fix the Extended Benefits for Michigan now Governor Rick Snyder just needs to sign the okay for the technical fix.

But it comes with a major stipulation, that the bill passed contains a permanent reduction of State Unemployment from 26 weeks to 20 weeks, Michigan would be the second state in the country to do so.

Realistically Governor Snyder should veto this bill, as Michigan is still leading the country in new unemployment filings.  NELP has information on what you can do regarding this legislation.
