Popular week to quit your job
Apparently this was the week to quit your job and cry to the world about it.
Two high profile resignations have been making the rounds one from a now Ex-Googler James Whittaker and another from a Greg Smith a former executive director at Goldman Sachs.
Both took their exits to the world publicly. Neither of them makes you feel bad for them and most importantly would instill confidence for hiring managers elsewhere seeing how easy these former employees have no problem complaining so freely about their former employers.
CNET has a great take on how lame the James Whittaker letter was and a reminder that while it might feel good to go public and tell your last employer to take a flying leap, generally the person leaving is the one who looks foolish. It is better to keep your thoughts to your diary.
