You can’t lie on your resume
There are examples in every industry of people embellishing the truth and flat out lying on resumes to get a job.
The most recent example is the Yahoo CEO’s resume is being called into question. It appears that the CEO Scott Thompson said he had a computer science degree, but it turns out he only has a degree in accounting.
You would think that the CEO of a search engine company would know best that eventually a person will discover the truth, or that a new database of information will open up. After all it doesn’t even matter if you have a degree as long as you have some proven leadership capabilities under your belt.
Maybe the corporate recruiter only spent 6 seconds reviewing this resume like every other recruiter.
