MI Recovery is bad news for UIA workers

The economic recovery in Michigan is spelling the end of work for about 400 workers at the Unemployment Insurance Agency.  Since the peak of unemployment in Michigan jobless claims are down 50 percent back in August 2009.

The cuts will affect 177 temporary workers on August 31st and up to 255 full time workers could be cut by October.

It is probably safe to assume that these workers would have a good idea of what goes into filing unemployment. If you happen to be one of those workers and do not feel free to brush up on the process in our MARVIN help articles.
