The Retail Seasonal Hiring Machine has Started
The retail hiring machine for the fourth quarter of 2012 has already started as retailers prepare for Black Friday related shopping.

Macy’s says it will hire 80,000 seasonal workers.
Target – Planning to hire 80,000- 90,000 temporary workers which is down from 2011’s 92,000 workers.
Toys R Us – Is planning to hire 45,000 temporary workers, which is 5,000 more than last year.
Meijer’s says it is seeking 12,000 workers for the holiday period.
Kohl’s – The retailer is looking to hire 52,700 up from 40,000 in 2011.
Amazon – The company is well known for hiring temporary workers and it is expected to hire about 5,000 temporary workers of which 1,200 -1,500 of them will be in the Chattanooga, TN area.
