ACT is an independent, not-for-profit organization that provides a broad array of assessment, research, information, and program management solutions in the areas of education and workforce development. You may recognize them as the company that produces the standardized college admissions exam of the same name.

What is the National Career Readiness Certification?

This certification indicates that you have basic skills that would be foundation to any job. The test areas covered include: Reading for Information aka reading comprehension, applied mathematics, and locating Information.

How long does the test take?

The test takes about 3.5 hours.

$35 if you register through ACT or Free if you register through a Michigan Works! Office
