Smokers face tougher job market in Detroit

We talked about the growing trend to exclude smokers and tobacco users in general from employment last year.  Without a doubt if you use any sort of nicotine and are in the medical field for employment you better not lose your job if you are allowed to use it currently. Today the Detroit Medical Center known to Detroiters as the DMC will not hire tobacco users starting July 1, 2012.  Existing employees are grandfathered in from the nicotine ban.
